Nature Society of Tirupur President Sethil Rajan Secretary Ravindran and Executive Viswanathan rescued 100+ Black Headed Munias that were coloured and kept for sale on the road side in Tirupur. It was then released in the Nanjarayan Tank area where Munias are commonly found

Asian Waterfowl census
Nature Society of Tirupur undertook the job of Asian Waterfowl census on behalf of BNHS, IBCN and Wetlands International in Tirupur region. NST covered 6 water bodies of the region, namely, Nanjarayan Tank, Orathupalayam Tank, Kathanganni, Samalapuram Tank, Semmandampalayam Tank and Andipalayam Tank.

Nature Society of Tirupur organised an awareness programme on the importance of Birds and its conservation in Frontline Academy school, Tirupur on the 17th of August, 2013.
